My Very First Nursery, Baby Boyd

This completely original mural was done for my Aunt Kara and Uncle Brian. They had decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise; therefore, the concept of the room was something first and foremost gender neutral, and secondly BRIGHT AND FUN! And that it was! Kara and I were completely surprised at how well it turned out. In addition to painting the walls, I hand painted letters of both the possible names, keeping "Ella" more girly with lots of pink and yellow, and "Drew" with blue and green. This ended up being a great idea, because Ella came first in January 2009 and Drew later in July 2010, so all Kara had to do was take down Ella's name and replace it with Drew's- talk about an easy transition from a girl to a boy!

THANK YOU AUNT KARA! Without you this talent would have gone without notice!! : )

Harrison's Nursery

Welcome to the world Harrison Scott! Harrison's one-of-a-kind Dr. Seuss, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish themed room exceeded all expectations and stands as one of my favorite rooms to date. Harrison's dad, who loves to fish, was the creator of this amazing theme. This room features freehand paintings of several images from the book, as well as a few original images that fit the Dr. Seuss theme. I love this room because of the bright colors, storybook illustrations, and well developed theme. It is my hope that Harrison and his family enjoy this room for years to come!
